Over the past 11 years, the highest concentration of deforestation has occurred in the vicinity of the Karipuna land.

There were about 838km² of deforested areas around this indigenous land against 306km² around Uru-Eu-Wau-Wau.

The opening of unofficial roads within the territories creates illegal logging routes and facilitates the invasions.

Areas of deforestation coincide with disputed lands.

Through the Rural Environmental Registry, 812 properties were declared with overlaps to the indigenous territories.

325 properties were identified in the Rural Environmental Registry with an area declared entirely within the Uru-Eu-Wau-Wau indigenous territory.

The dispute over land tenure in these territories is also driven by conflicts in different land registry.

There are overlapping of 22 neighboring properties in the National System of Certification of Real Estate (SNCI).

In the state of Rondônia, 5,446 mining process areas are registered.

Of these, 196 areas are insersected with the indigenous reservations Karipuna and Uru-Eu-Wau-Wau. Most of these areas are used for the exploration of gold and cassiterite.

If we select only those that had the last move after 2015, 26 are found.

Of these, 10 are of active projects.
